GALAXIE is curated, booked, organized, and produced by resident video artist Alison Childs (Donuts), Lovefingers (lovefingers.org), Justin Miller (DFA), and Jacques Renault (Runaway). Previous guests have included Salvatore Principato of Liquid Liquid, Veronica Vasicka (Minimal Wave), a CLONE label night featuring Legowelt and Alden Tyrell live, Canyons (DFA), Sebastian Thomson of Trans Am, Ian Svenonius, TBD (Lee Douglas & Justin Vandervolgen), DJ Spun (Rong Music) and Honey Soundsystem from San Francisco. Venues for live shows have varied from an uncovered 80s 'swingers' club, a majestic Soho loft, a monthly at Le Poisson Rouge's Gallery Bar, a supremely sweaty punk warehouse, a Lower East Side Public School, to a special rare screening of the film Liquid Sky accompanied by director, Slava Tsukerman inside the Ace Hotel.
